Call for Papers

Members of the international aerospace community are invited to submit abstracts for proposed papers and technical briefings that are consistent with the overall Congress theme and topic areas for the five component conferences.

If you wish to submit an abstract for consideration by the Program Committee, you must also intend to register for the Congress. On-line submission is the only method of receipt of abstracts.

PLEASE NOTE ANY LATE SUBMISSIONS WILL HAVE TO BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CONFERENCE CHAIR.

Call for Abstracts

Abstract submission is a two step process:

STEP 1
Abstract template: download the abstract template, save it to your desktop and complete it:

  • Use this template to present your abstract in the required format. Abstracts not submitted using this template will be returned for correction.
  • Your abstract text should be no more than 500 words.
  • Your abstract should clearly and concisely outline the CONTENT of the presentation and should include key points/issues to be addressed.
  • Delete all text in red when you have completed this template.
  • After completing the abstract template, move onto step 2.

STEP 2
Online abstract submission form: to complete the online abstract submission form, the following information is required:

  • Your Contact Details
  • The Title of your Abstract
  • Presentation Type
  • Keywords / Topics
  • Name and Organisation of all Co-Presenters and Co-Authors
  • Brief Biographies for Yourself and all Co-Presenters.
    Each Biography should be no more than 100 words
  • Your Audio Visual Requirements
  • Your Completed Abstract Template

Please note, the invitation to submit and abstract does not constitute an offer to pay travel, accommodation or registration costs associated with the conference. Similarly, no speaker fee is paid to successful participants. All speakers must register for the conference and forward the appropriate registration fee six weeks prior to the commencement of the conference.

ABSTRACTS MUST BE SUBMITTED NO LATER THAN FRIDAY 15 AUGUST 2008.

Presentation Types

Please note that not all presentation types are offered for each conference.

Oral Presentations: Oral presentations take place in chaired sessions and are 30 minutes in length including question and answer time.

Poster Presentations: Visual presentations of research projects. Poster presentations will be an integral part of the program. Each poster will be allocated an area of 1.5m high x 0.9m wide on a fixed Velcro compatible board which will be displayed during the entire Congress.

Technical Briefing: A spoken presentation without a paper that may be aided by physical demonstrations of equipment, software, etc

Invited Presentations Only

Full Papers

An abstract will be peer reviewed, and if accepted as an oral paper, poster, technical briefing or proceedings paper, the authors will be invited to submit a full written paper (plenary, oral and poster papers) or presentation file (technical briefings), for inclusion in the Congress Proceedings on CD-Rom.
All presenters will also be asked to submit a final one-page abstract for inclusion in the Congress Abstract book.

Authors of papers who wish to take up the option of having their papers subjected to a full peer referee process, must select this option when submitting their abstracts and meet the earlier paper submission deadline.

Papers that satisfy this process will be indicated as such in the Congress Proceedings.

NB. HUMS, UAV, and Vertiflite Conference papers will ALL be peer reviewed.

Presentation Format

The Program Committee reserves the right to decide the format of presentation on the basis of time, space available and applicability to the Congress theme and Conference topics/keywords. You will not necessarily be offered your preferred format.

Confirmation of submission

Immediately following successful submission, you will receive confirmation via email.

Abstract Review Notification

Abstract acceptance, program scheduling and your presentation format will be communicated to the corresponding authors email address by 19 September 2008.
